Joshua Crites, Ph.D. is a Staff Ethicist and Regional Ethicist in the Center for Bioethics at the Cleveland Clinic in Cleveland, Ohio. In this position, Dr. Crites serves as a professional clinical ethicist on the ethics consultation service and coordinates clinical ethics programming at three Cleveland Clinic hospitals. Dr. Crites also is the Co-Director of the Cleveland Fellowship in Advanced Bioethics and holds multiple teaching and leadership responsibilities within the Cleveland Clinic Lerner College of Medicine of CWRU. His current work and scholarship center around measuring quality in ethics consultation, ethics education for healthcare professionals and trainees, and ethical issues related to the allocation of scarce medical resources. Previous scholarship includes institutional trust amongst participants in biobank-based research and ethical issues related to informed consent in oncology clinical trials.
