Dr. Katie Moynihan is a staff physician in the Cardiac Intensive Care Unit at Boston Children’s Hospital and Assistant Professor of Pediatrics, Harvard Medical School. She studied medicine and completed her pediatric and critical care training in Australia and New Zealand. She undertook clinical volunteer work in Uganda, India and Fiji. Her research interests focus on social determinants of health and healthcare access and outcomes in pediatric critical illness as well as ethics and decision-making – particularly in relation to life-sustaining devices, as well as palliative care integration in the CICU.
