Marie-Françoise Malo, MA, PhD Student at Simon Fraser University and University of Montreal (she/her). My research focuses on the ethical, legal and social issues surrounding the use of voice as a biomarker. My research project is part of a North American research consortium aiming to build an ethical, inclusive and trustworthy bioacoustic database to predict and help diagnose voice-related diseases. It will culminate in the conceptualization and development of prototype tools for ethical guidance and decision support on voice-related data.
