Dr. Laura Webster serves as the Pacific Northwest Divisional Vice President of Ethics at CommonSpirit. Laura earned a Master's in Bioethics and Humanities from the University of Washington and completed a Doctorate in Bioethics Loyola University Chicago. Laura teaches as Affiliate Faculty at the University of Washington School of Medicine, Department of Bioethics and Humanities, is an active member of the American Society of Bioethics and Humanities serving on the Nominating Committee and the Task Force for the 3rd Edition of the Core Competencies. Laura sits on the WA State Disaster Clinical Advisory Committee, is a Subject Matter Expert for WA State, and carries special interests in: places of moral hazard, respect for persons, psychological safety, end of life, emergency, nursing, disaster, critical care, and neuroethics. Laura engages in the community as a volunteer nurse and efforts to provide bioethics education to local, national, and international audiences.
