Joseph Raho, Ph.D. is Clinical Ethicist at the UCLA Health Ethics Center, Vice Chair of the UCLA-Santa Monica Ethics Committee, and Part-Time Faculty of the Bioethics Institute at Loyola Marymount University. He holds a Ph.D. in philosophy with a concentration in bioethics from the University of Pisa, Italy, and a post-doctoral fellowship in clinical ethics from the UCLA Health Ethics Center. Prior to graduate school, he worked for three years with the President’s Council on Bioethics in Washington, DC, where he was mentored by the late Dr. Edmund Pellegrino. Dr. Raho’s research interests include clinical ethics, especially end-of-life issues, and pediatric bioethics.
