Gretchen Schwarze MD, MPP is the Morgridge Professor of Vascular Surgery and a Professor in the Departments of Surgery and Medical History and Bioethics at the University of Wisconsin. She is a practicing vascular surgeon and health services researcher whose research interests focus on high-stakes decisions and end-of-life care for older patients with complex illnesses.
